RCW Recovery Working Group
The purpose of the RCW Working Group is to develop a series of strategies to address overall recovery goal in the NC Sandhills including connectivity between sub-populations. Objectives include:
- Evaluate applicability of new species recovery plan to NC Sandhills population
- Define measure of success for recovery for this population
- Run demographic analysis of population constrained by existing and/or potential habitat variables to identify priority areas
- Evaluate importance of protecting existing habitat and restoring habitat within GAP area.
- Develop protocols for intra-population translocation
- Develop regional sampling protocol to monitor annual population status
